ABOUT THIS BUILDING
Located along the Great Allegheny Passage trail, The Traveler’s Rest Hotel is now an authentic Pittsburgh landmark which plays host to all types of visitors, travelers, and events. Dating back to 1883, the historic building was first home to the headquarters for A.M. Byers Wrought Iron Pipe Co. Emerging from its mills in the South Side and the surrounding region, Byers Pipe was once the world’s foremost wrought iron manufacturer and they built their offices to suit.
