ABOUT THIS BUILDING
In 2009, five years after Hurricane Ivan devastated the borough of Millvale, an ambitious group of volunteers purchased the building at 213 Grant Avenue. The building formerly housed an electronics repair shop. After extensive renovations and improvements, completed mostly by volunteers, The Millvale Community Library (MCL) opened its doors to the public in 2013. In 2016, the MCL was admitted to the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) and began full-service library operations as one of the county's partner libraries.
