Have you ever heard of Plein Air Painting? Join DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh as we learn about this art form from Pittsburgh outdoor artist Ron Donoughe, including a tour of his studio!
The tour of Ron Donoughe's art studio is a truly unique experience. As Ron explains, something happens when an artist is confronted directly with the subject he or she captures. He thinks it has something to do with the spirit of a place, and that spirit can make its way into the artist and the work itself.
This tour offers a painting demonstration by Ron, himself, and also provides an opportunity for guests to see his Ways of Pittsburgh project plus 20 never-before-exhibited paintings from Fallingwater!
