Enjoy the springtime Chatham arboretum, learn about industrialists who supported the founding of the Pennsylvania Female College (now Chatham University), and step inside the former home of A.W. Mellon, former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury as we explore the history of Chatham University with Chatham Archivist & Public Services Librarian Molly Tighe. Participants will be presented with material from the Chatham University Archives that emphasizes connections to past occupants of Woodland Road’s most iconic home and highlights the beauty of the Chatham campus.
TOUR HOST BIO:
As Archivist & Public Services Librarian, Molly Tighe manages all aspects of Chatham University’s Archives and Special Collections, including identifying, providing access, and preserving documentation of long-term value. Molly previously held positions in the archives of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Mattress Factory Museum, and the Andy Warhol Museum.
