Building Description:

Burnham, a prominent Chicago architect and one of the first to design steel-framed skyscrapers launched his success with the design of the 1893 Chicago World Fair.

He developed the first major modern architectural firm that would design more than 200 buildings across the country, 7 of them in Pittsburgh.

One century later he inspired the best-seller The Devil in the White City. On this tour we will see and discuss his still remaining buildings in the Downtown area.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
