You will be involved in a discussion on the AME Order of Worship which is common to all of our congregations throughout the world. Our music will be discussed and hopefully presented by one of our renown musicians in the Greater Pittsburgh area, Dr. Johnson. Also our history will be discussed as to our involvement in local politics, education and community services throughout our 153 years of existence. Lite refreshments will be served along with time to explore our facility.
Organized in 1866, it was one of the earliest African American churches in the east End of Pittsburgh. The current structure is Romanesque, and represents the fourth buildings to house the congregation, making it move here in 1966.
