You'll see them on this tour. You'll recognize their
architectural features and learn about these turn of the Century marvels.
They led the way in the development of Pittsburgh. Joseph Hornes,
McCreerys, Gimbels, Frank and Seder's, and Kaufmann's, now have been “repurposed” and they are starting their
buildings were the cultural institutions of their hayday (about
1900-1930). The movers and shakers of Pittsburgh curated their
wares, and all types people flocked to them. The owners not only carried a full line of
merchandise, but made special efforts to provide the customers with special
