ABOUT THIS BUILDING
The congregation organized in 1883. Construction of building initiated September, 1922. The sanctuary was designed to represent a temple as you enter from rear and face the altar. There are eight Gothic windows, each window contains a different emblem medallion and subject matter. Each window has steeples and columns to create the temple effect. All of the wood trim is original, including pillars and a balcony. The windows in vestibule and transom were made to harmonize with rest of features, and were made from the best grade of Opalescent glass available. Contractor was Pittsburgh Art Glass Co. still in existence today as Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studio.
