Johnny Angel’s Ginchy Stuff

1800 Preble Avenue | 10 am – 4 pm

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Step back into the era of Doo-Wop with this very unique music museum. The museum portion houses local musician Johnny Angel’s favorite music stories in a curated format. Expect to hear stories and see visuals about Chubby Checker, James Brown, and Pittsburgh’s own legendary DJ, Porky Chedwick. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to “shop” the retail space that includes unique pop culture items, from band pins and bobbleheads to vinyl, books, and one-of-a-kind collectibles.

ABOUT THIS BUILDING

This building was a restaurant at one time; the space was so vast, it made sense to utilize it as a museum when the opportunity arose. The Ginchy Stuff Museum now houses the stories and artifacts of musicians who came through Pittsburgh and made an impact on the music industry.
