ABOUT THIS BUILDING
This building was originally built as a Masonic Temple. The imposing structure, situated next door to the old Garden Theater and overlooking Allegheny Commons, had sat vacant since the mid-90s. The City of Asylum at Alphabet City, whose mission is to provide C opened in January 2017. The building now hosts a performance space, restaurant, bookstore, eight apartments and the City of Asylum headquarters.
