SPACE Gallery

SPACE Gallery

812 Liberty Avenue | 10 am to 4 pm

Visitors will be able to experience This Sacred Thing, a collection of more than 35 works by contemporary and emerging artists. Curated by Pittsburgh-based Ian Brill, Sam Smith and Keith Tassick, the exhibition asks eternal questions about what it means to imbue objects, possessions and artwork with sacred meaning. NOTE: The building closes at 1pm for the event, but you can still visit for no additional cost.

A vital component of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Visual Arts programming, SPACE presents five to six exhibitions annually, offering emerging artists an opportunity to advance projects in a supportive setting.

While SPACE does not actively commission new works, many artists that exhibit work at SPACE are provided with resources, labor, technology and guidance, as well as funding to execute their ideas.
