The Historic Park Building

355 Fifth Avenue | 10 am to 4 pm

Experience a beautiful marble lobby, one of the original features of the building. From there you will make your way to the 15th floor to get an up close and personal view of the famous Atlas statues at the top of the building. Learn about how the building was, at one time, the tallest building in Pittsburgh and more from a volunteer docent.

Building capacity due to COVID is 10 people at a time.
Please be patient, as most people’s visit will be 10-15 minutes.

The historic Park Building, was built by industrialists David and William Park in 1896. The 15-story Park Building is adorned by what Preservationists call “the most beautiful cornice east of the Mississippi”. The cornice detail depicts men in the kneeling position holding up the roofline of the building and is one of the stopping points in nearly every historical tour of downtown Pittsburgh.
