To celebrate our fifth birthday this year, DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh is expanding the annual event to include Oakland!

Whether you are from Pittsburgh or not, we invite you to be “nebby” and take a peek inside a diverse collection of iconic buildings and cool new spaces, 50-60 total buildings in select neighborhoods.
Here’s how you can participate in the annual event, Doors Open Pittsburgh 2020:
***DUE TO COVID-19, DOORS OPEN PITTSBURGH WILL REQUIRE FACE COVERINGS TO BE WORN BEFORE ENTERING ANY PARTICIPATING BUILDING. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED DURING YOUR PARTICIPATION AT THE EVENT. DOORS OPEN PITTSBURGH VOLUNTEERS WILL BE ON-SITE TO ENFORCE THIS SAFETY PROTOCOL. ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY BE AMENDED TO THIS SAFETY PROTOCOL, PER THE CDC/COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA GUIDELINES***
Step 1: Review the Building List (announced one month in advance of the annual event).
Step 2: Make a list of buildings you want to visit, and share with friends/family.
Step 3: Buy your General Event ticket (on-sale one month in advance of the event).
Step 4: Present your General Event ticket at each building you choose to visit.
Step 5: Once inside, you will have behind-the-scenes access, some unique experience, or just the opportunity to explore, either through a self-guided or semi-guided tour!
Advanced reservations are not required to visit any building you choose — be sure to check the availability (days/times) of the buildings you want to visit.
Only buildings located in Downtown and the Northside will be open on Saturday, October 3
Only buildings located in Oakland will be open on Sunday, October 4th.
