Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
325 Oliver Avenue
Oct 1: NA
Oct 2: 12 P.M. - 4 P.M
The current Trinity Cathedral Building was completed in 1872, is designated as a historical landmark, and sits atop the oldest continuous burial ground west of the Alleghenies. The first Trinity Church, constructed from the 1780’s to1805, was built two blocks to the west of this burial ground at the base of the hill. The congregation built its second church here in 1824.
While inside the church, you will see the first documented stained glass installed in Pittsburgh. As a Visitor to the Trinity Churchyard you will see the oldest marked graves west of the Atlantic Seaboard, of both Native American leaders, French, English, and American colonists.
