Founded in 2000, Strada Architecture is a cross-disciplinary design studio with a focus on urban place making and regeneration. The firm’s Pittsburgh office is located in the heart of the city in the historic Alcoa Building, a quintessential example of mid-century modern architecture. The world’s first skyscraper with an all-aluminum façade is being transformed by Strada into a mixed-use tower with contemporary offices, tantalizing restaurants and luxury residences.
Strada has breathed new life into many of Pittsburgh’s iconic buildings and neighborhoods including Market Square Place, Dollar Bank, the Hotel Monaco in the former Reed Smith Building and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, which will soon open as the Drury Hotel.
